Every planet was exactly where it needed to be when you arrived. A Kundali reading tells you what that means — and what to do about it right now.
A Kundali — also called Janam Patrika, birth chart, or Vedic horoscope — is a precise snapshot of the sky at the exact moment and place you were born. Every planet, every sign, every nakshatra is recorded as it actually was.
This is not astrology as a belief system. This is astronomy encoded as meaning. The same Swiss Ephemeris that NASA uses to calculate planetary positions is what powers every Kundali generated on this platform.
Your Kundali shows your Lagna (ascendant — the rising sign at the moment of birth), your Moon sign (Rashi), your birth nakshatra, and the house placement of all nine Vedic planets. Together, these form the foundation of everything a Vedic astrologer reads.
But a chart is not a verdict. It is a map. It shows the terrain — the strengths, the challenges, the timing of different seasons of your life. What you do with the terrain is always your choice.
The 12 houses of the Kundali each govern a specific domain. A reading interprets all of them in relation to each other.
Your ascendant sign, its lord, and the 1st house show your core nature, how others perceive you, and your physical constitution. This is your entry point into the chart.
The 10th house (karma/career), its lord, and planets aspecting it reveal your natural professional path, the right timing for career moves, and what work will truly fulfil you.
The 7th house, Venus placement, and Navamsha (D9) chart reveal the timing and quality of significant relationships. The Ashtakoot compatibility system gives the full partnership picture.
The 2nd house (accumulated wealth), 11th house (gains), and Jupiter placement show your financial trajectory, peak earning periods, and the right timing for property decisions.
The 12th house, Rahu placement, and 9th house together indicate the probability and timing of foreign opportunities and whether settlement abroad is written in your chart.
The 6th and 8th houses, Saturn and Mars placements, and Ascendant lord strength indicate constitutional health, periods of vulnerability, and what to be mindful of.
The 5th house, Jupiter, and its lord reveal the timing and likelihood of children, relationship with parents, and the quality of family karma across generations.
The Vimshottari Dasha system maps which planetary period you are in right now — and what it means for every area of your life. This is the most precise timing tool in astrology.
The Vimshottari Dasha is a 120-year cycle of planetary periods derived from one thing: which nakshatra the Moon occupied at the moment of your birth.
Each planet rules a major period (Mahadasha) lasting between 6 and 20 years. Within each Mahadasha are sub-periods (Antardasha) lasting months. Every period activates the themes of that planet in your specific chart.
This is not abstract. When someone is in their Saturn Mahadasha, Saturn's house and sign in their chart determines exactly what kind of Saturn experience they get. A well-placed Saturn gives discipline and achievement. A challenged Saturn gives restriction and restructuring. Knowing where you are in the Dasha cycle tells you what season you are in — and what is actually available to you right now.
| Planet | Duration | Key Themes |
|---|---|---|
| Sun ☉ | 6 years | Authority, father, identity, leadership |
| Moon ☽ | 10 years | Mind, mother, emotions, public life |
| Mars ♂ | 7 years | Drive, property, siblings, conflict |
| Rahu ☊ | 18 years | Ambition, obsession, foreign, illusion |
| Jupiter ♃ | 16 years | Wisdom, children, wealth, dharma |
| Saturn ♄ | 19 years | Discipline, karma, delay, mastery |
| Mercury ☿ | 17 years | Communication, business, intellect |
| Ketu ☋ | 7 years | Detachment, moksha, past life |
| Venus ♀ | 20 years | Love, luxury, creativity, relationships |

I spent 16 years in IT before this. That background did not leave me — it shaped how I read charts. I approach a Kundali the way an engineer approaches a system: everything has a reason, every element interacts with every other element, and the output is only as reliable as the input data.
My calculation engine uses Swiss Ephemeris — the same astronomical precision tool used by NASA-affiliated research. The Lahiri Ayanamsa correction places every planet where it actually was in the sky at your birth, not where a seasonal calendar says it should be.
I draw from multiple classical systems — primarily Parashara (the foundational tradition from Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra), complemented by Jaimini for specific timing questions, and KP where precision on event timing is needed. No single system answers every question perfectly. A reading uses whatever lens gives the clearest view of your specific chart.
But precision alone is not a reading. A reading requires the grace that comes from genuine practice, from thousands of charts, and from the blessings of my Gurujis — Jagadguru Shree Kripalu Ji Maharaj and Shree Ghanshyamdas Ji. It is their grace that allows a prediction to land with the precision it does.
A Kundali reading needs three things. The more precise, the more accurate the reading.
Full date — day, month, year. From your birth certificate if possible.
As exact as possible. Even 4 minutes can shift the Lagna. Hospital records are the most reliable source.
City and country where you were born. The coordinates are used to calculate the exact ascending sign.
